Horizon College of Nursing Sciences (HOCONS), Abuja, is now taking applications for its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Nursing for the 2025/2026 academic year.
HOCONS is a private nursing college approved by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and runs in line with the guidelines of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Their goal? Train qualified nurses to meet health needs both locally and abroad.
Entry Route and Requirements
How to Qualify
Admission into the college goes through JAMB. So, you must:
- Sit for the 2025 UTME
- Score at least 140
- Pick HOCONS as your first choice in JAMB, or apply to change it through a JAMB CBT centre or office
You also need:
- Five O’Level credits in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- Results from WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB
- No more than two sittings
How to Apply
If You Already Chose HOCONS
- Visit the HOCONS admission portal
- Fill out the application form online
- Submit and keep checking your email and portal for updates
If You Didn’t Choose HOCONS
- Visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre or JAMB office
- Request a change of institution to Horizon College of Nursing Sciences
- Then return to the HOCONS portal to complete your application
