IAUE Final Year Students NERD Registration Notice
The management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has announced that all final year and outgone students who are yet to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme must complete their enrolment on the Nigeria Education and Repository Databank (NERD).
The NERD platform, created by the Federal Government of Nigeria, serves as a national database for academic verification. It is now a compulsory requirement for NYSC mobilisation and other national programmes such as the National Credentials Verification Service (NCVS).
Students of IAUE are required to visit the NERD registration portal and provide accurate details, including:
- Full Name
- Matriculation Number
- JAMB Registration Number
- Date of Birth
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Academic Qualification Details
All submitted information must correspond exactly with records on both the University and JAMB portals. Discrepancies may lead to registration delays or disqualification.
IAUE ICT Centre to Assist Students with NERD Registration
To support the process, the ICT Centre and Students’ Affairs Division of IAUE have been directed to assist students with technical issues during registration. The NERD technical team will also provide necessary guidance and additional registration details to ensure a smooth exercise.
Students are advised to confirm that their email address and phone number on the University portal are current for future communication and updates from the university and NERD administrators.
Important Notice for NYSC Prospective Corps Members
According to IAUE, the 2025 Batch Prospective Corps Members are exempted from submitting the NERD clearance slip during NYSC registration. Nonetheless, they must still complete their NERD enrolment and upload their academic credentials for verification through the National Credentials Verification Service (NCVS).
Closing Note
The management of IAUE emphasises that compliance with this directive is mandatory. All eligible students are urged to complete their NERD registration without delay to avoid missing out on NYSC mobilisation or other national engagements that depend on verified academic records.
