Admission Requirements

General Admission Information

Admission does not require a JAMB result. However, candidates will need a JAMB regularisation number upon successful admission for NYSC purposes. Admission is open to all, regardless of religion, ethnic group, gender, creed, or disability. All applicants must meet the university’s minimum requirements.

Tiered Admission Requirements

Tier 1

• Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE): WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS, or foreign equivalent.
• National Diploma, NCE, HND.

Tier 2

• For 100 Level: Five credits at SSCE in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.

Tier 3

• For 200 Level (Direct Entry): Five SSCE credits plus at least two A’ level passes in relevant subjects, NCE, ND with credit passes, or a bachelor’s degree in another field. Nursing Science requires a registered Nursing Certificate. Community Health requires a Community Health Extension Worker license.

Tier 4

• For 300 Level: HND in a related course.

Tier 5

• For 400 Level (Top-Up Degree): A good bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Application and Registration Process

Step 1: Apply Online

1. Visit the Iconic University Website.
2. Click on Apply Now.
3. Complete the electronic application form and agree to the terms and conditions.
4. Check your email for a confirmation link and activate your account.

Step 2: Payment and Form Submission

1. After account confirmation, make payment of the application fees using a credit or debit card.
2. Fill out the application form and upload a passport photograph and credentials in one PDF file.
3. Select the programme of choice and admission stream (fall or spring semester).
4. Select the level if applying for direct entry.
5. View admission requirements to ensure compliance.

Step 3: Admission Confirmation

1. Wait for the review and confirmation of admission from the Registrar.
2. Check your email regularly for updates.
3. Upon confirmation, log into your account and complete documentation.
4. Print your admission letter and pay the required fees.
5. Proceed to course registration.

Step 4: Document Submission

1. Submit required documents to the university by post or in person within the first year of studies.
2. Ensure documents are attested and notarized as required.
