Igbinedion University 23rd Convocation Ceremony 2025
Igbinedion University, Okada is set to host its 23rd Convocation Ceremony for the Class of 2025. The event will run for two days and will celebrate academic success, hard work and new career paths for graduating students.

On this day, Igbinedion University will host the Honourable Dr Yusuf Tanko Sununu, Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. He will speak on the topic: “The Nexus between Education and National Prosperity in a Transformative Economy.”
Students, staff, alumni and guests will have the chance to hear how learning, skills and public policy can support economic growth across Nigeria. This lecture gives graduating students fresh ideas as they move into work, further study or public service.
Award and degree ceremony on Saturday, 29 November 2025
The second day of the convocation will take place on Saturday, 29 November 2025.
On this day, the university will:
- Confer First Degrees on undergraduate students
- Confer Higher Degrees on postgraduate students
- Present special awards to selected graduates
The ceremony will be attended by Brigadier General Olakunle Oluseye Nafiu, Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). His presence highlights the link between graduation, national service and early career growth for young Nigerians.
