Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Distance Learning Admission Form | ND & HND

The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Open Distance and Flexible E-Learning (ODFEL) Programme admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now available.

This programme offers an accessible learning option for students interested in National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes.

Applications are open to those who meet the specified criteria.

ODFEL ND Programmes and Duration

The ND programmes under the ODFEL initiative span six semesters over 24 calendar months.

You can choose from the following schools and subjects:

• School of Communication and Information Technology: Mass Communication, Library & Information Science.
• School of Management Studies: Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Marketing, Public Administration.
• School of Pure and Applied Sciences: Computer Science, Science & Laboratory Technology.
• School of Environmental Studies: Quantity Surveying.

ODFEL HND Programmes

HND programmes also run for six semesters over 24 calendar months.

These programmes offer advanced education in the disciplines listed under the ND programmes.

Entry Requirements for ODFEL Programmes

ND Open Distance and Flexible E-Learning (ODFEL) Entry Requirements

• You need a minimum of five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in relevant subjects at not more than two sittings.
• Candidates awaiting results from recently concluded exams can apply but must upload the results before admission.
• All ND ODFEL applicants must visit the JAMB Office to apply and fill the JAMB Part-Time/Distance Learning Application Form.

HND Open Distance and Flexible E-Learning (ODFEL) Entry Requirements

• You must have a National Diploma with at least a Lower Credit (CGPA of not less than 2.50).
• You must meet the basic requirements for the National Diploma Programme in your discipline.
• You must possess specific SSSCE requirements such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE O’Level.
• You must perform well in the screening exercise conducted by the Polytechnic.
• You need at least one year of relevant industrial experience after your National Diploma.
• You must submit a National Diploma academic transcript.

How to Obtain the ODFEL Application Form

Follow these steps to apply:

1. Visit the Federal Poly Ilaro Website: Go to the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro website and click on the portal.
2. Generate Invoice: Click on ‘Applicant’, then on ‘Generate Invoice’ through this link.
3. Make Payment: Take the generated invoice to any authorised bank, such as UBA, WEMA, Polaris Bank, UNION Bank, Ilaro Poly Micro-Finance Bank, Access Bank, or Zenith Bank. All payments must be made on the Remita platform.
4. Complete the Application: After payment, return to the portal, click on ‘Applicant’, and then ‘Fill Application Form’. Follow the instructions to fill out the form.

Important Notices

• The invoice and Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) must be in the applicant’s name and generated from the portal.
• Upload clear and readable copies of your credentials and testimonials in PDF format.
• Candidates with unreadable documents may lose their admissions.
• Visit the JAMB Office to complete the JAMB Part-Time/Distance Learning Application Form.
• Only candidates with completed JAMB Part-Time/Distance Learning Application Forms will be considered for admission.
• The screening examination will be online.
• Provide valid phone numbers and email addresses on your forms.
• Ensure all names match the records in WAEC, NECO, and JAMB documents.
• Entrance examinations are computer-based, and further details will be provided later.
