Kaduna Poly Disclaimer Notice to Prospective Corps Members

By  Updated on

The management of Kaduna Polytechnic has released a public notice after a false message began spreading online. The message targeted prospective NYSC corps members and claimed they needed to re-submit documents.

The fake notice was shared by an individual named Tosin Samuel Afolabi, who used a phone number to contact graduates. He asked for copies of HND Statements of Result, JAMB Admission Letters, and clearance slips. In many cases, money was requested before any so-called clearance could be given.

According to the Polytechnic, several prospective corps members were misled and lost money through this method. The school confirmed that the suspect has now been arrested and handed over to the Kaduna State Commissioner of Police. An investigation is ongoing, and legal action is expected to follow.

Kaduna Polytechnic has clearly stated that it has no link to this activity. The school stressed that no staff member or agent was authorised to collect money or request documents in this manner. Prospective NYSC candidates are advised to ignore the message completely.

Students and graduates are reminded to rely only on official Kaduna Polytechnic communication channels for updates related to clearance, NYSC mobilisation, or academic records. Social media messages and private calls should be treated with care, even if they sound convincing. A small pause to confirm details can save a lot of trouble later.
