Kano State College of Nursing PGD Admission Form 2025/2026
Kano State College of Nursing Sciences, through its Centre for Continuing Education and Consultancy Services, offers Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The programmes are affiliated with the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).
These PGD courses are for nurses and other health professionals who wish to build on their first degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) and gain deeper knowledge in nursing and public health fields.
Centre for Continuing Education and Consultancy Services
The Centre for Continuing Education and Consultancy Services runs the postgraduate arm of the college.

Entry requirements for PGD Nursing programmes
For the PGD in:
- Nursing Sciences
- Nursing Education
- Public Health Nursing
- Maternal and Child Health (MCH)
Applicants must:
- Hold a Degree or HND in Nursing
- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
- Have at least five credit passes in:
- Physics
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
These credits should be from approved secondary school examinations.
Entry requirements for PGD programmes in health-related fields
For the PGD in:
- Public Health
- Health Planning and Management
- Epidemiology and Disease Control
Applicants must:
- Hold a Degree or HND in a health-related field
- Have at least five credit passes in:
- Physics
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
This makes the programmes open to a wide range of health professionals, such as public health officers and other allied health workers who meet these academic rules.

The PGD application form costs N10,000.
Prospective candidates can:
