Objectives of the ND II Direct Admission
- To provide an academic bridge for ND/NID graduates with weak results or those holding ordinary diplomas from recognised institutions.

Modalities for the ND II Direct Programme
- The programme will run for one academic session, covering two semesters.
- Candidates will be admitted to the second year of relevant ND programmes.
- Graduates will receive National Diploma certificates upon completion.
- Graduates will be eligible for admission into relevant HND programmes.
- Admissions will be conducted through the JAMB Direct Entry process.
- Graduates with Pass grades in ND/NID programmes from accredited institutions may be admitted if they were admitted through JAMB (UTME).
- Ordinary Diploma graduates from recognised institutions with strong academic records prior to December 2020 are eligible.
- Applicants must meet the O/Level requirements, including five credits in relevant subjects.
- IJMB and NCE certificate holders are not eligible for the programme.
- Enrolment should not exceed 30% of the approved NBTE carrying capacity.
Additional Requirements
- All ND II programme graduates must complete mandatory post-ND industrial experience before HND admission.
- Graduates with Credit grades must undertake a one-year industrial experience, while those with Pass grades must complete two years.
- Departments must submit requests to the Academic Department for onward processing by NBTE.
Admission Procedure
- Applicants must purchase the JAMB Direct Entry Form at the JAMB State Office.
- Kano State Polytechnic and the relevant ND programme must be selected during the application process.
- Applicants must present the Direct Entry Admission Letter to the Academic Department for data update.
