UNILAG Women Society School (ULWS) is a private nursery and primary school on the University of Lagos, Akoka campus. The school was set up in 1967 and runs in a calm and child friendly setting inside the UNILAG community.

About the UNILAG Women Society School (ULWS)
ULWS runs early years and primary education for children within and outside the university community. The school operates inside the Akoka campus and follows clear standards for teaching quality, child care and staff conduct.

General requirements for Class Teacher III
For all Class Teacher III roles (English, Maths, Creative Art, Physical Education and Phonics):
- NCE in the relevant subject from a recognised college of education or similar body
- SSCE, NECO or WASC/GCE O Level with credit in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics, in one sitting
- Teaching experience is not compulsory but counts as an added advantage
These roles are placed on salary grade ULWSSS 6.
Requirements for Class Teacher II (Maths)
For Class Teacher II (Maths) on grade ULWSSS 7, candidates should meet one of the following paths:
Path A:
- NCE in Mathematics from a recognised college
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 4 years teaching experience
Path B:
- B.Ed, B.Sc (Ed) or B.A (Ed) in Mathematics with at least Second Class Lower Division
- NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 1 year teaching experience
Path C:
- B.A or B.Sc plus PGDE from a recognised higher education body with at least Second Class Lower Division
- NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 1 year teaching experience
Requirements for Class Teacher II (Phonics)
For Class Teacher II (Phonics) on grade ULWSSS 7, candidates should meet one of these paths:
Path A:
- NCE in Phonics from a recognised college
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 4 years teaching experience
Path B:
- B.Ed, B.Sc (Ed) or B.A (Ed) in Phonics with at least Second Class Lower Division
- NYSC discharge certificate
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 1 year teaching experience
Path C:
- B.A or B.Sc plus PGDE from a recognised higher education body with at least Second Class Lower Division
- NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 1 year teaching experience
Extra conditions for all teaching staff
In addition to the subject based requirements, all teaching applicants:
- Must hold the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate or licence
- Must be computer literate
- Must not be more than 40 years of age

Requirements for Personal Assistant II
For Personal Assistant II on grade ULWSSS 7, candidates should have one of these:
Path A:
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Secretarial Studies, Administration, Office Technology and Management or a related field from a recognised polytechnic or similar body with at least Lower Credit
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 4 years relevant work experience
Path B:
- B.A, B.Tech, B.Sc or HND in Secretarial Studies, Administration, Office Technology and Management or a related field with at least Second Class Lower Division or Lower Credit
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption
- At least 1 year relevant work experience
Requirements for Executive Officer (Account)
For Executive Officer (Account) on grade ULWSSS 6:
- OND in Accounting or a related field from a recognised polytechnic or similar body with at least Lower Credit
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics
- At least 1 year work experience
Requirements for Cleaner
For Cleaner on grade ULWSSS 2:
- SSCE/NECO/WASC/GCE O Level certificate
- At least a pass in any three subjects
Requirements for Driver
For Driver on grade ULWSSS 3:
- SSCE/NECO/WASC O Level certificate with passes in three subjects
- Class E driving licence
- Trade Test II in Driving or Motor Vehicle Mechanic Work
- At least 3 years driving experience
Extra conditions for non teaching staff
Candidates for Personal Assistant II, Executive Officer (Account), Cleaner and Driver:
- Should not be more than 45 years of age
