LASRAB Launches Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition
The Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB) has announced plans to launch the Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition, designed to test students’ knowledge about Lagos State and reward outstanding participants. The initiative, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Strategy, aims to broaden students’ understanding of the achievements of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat.
The competition will provide an opportunity for young learners to engage with the history, culture, and development of Lagos across its five divisions, encouraging them to appreciate the progress and unity of the state.
Details of the LASRAB Quiz Competition
Interested students are invited to visit www.lagosquiz.com to participate in the online competition. The quiz will run for four weeks, beginning on 1st November 2025, and will feature multiple-choice questions covering various historical and landmark events in Lagos.
The competition is structured to promote awareness, inspire curiosity, and reward academic excellence. Participants will answer a series of timed questions, with scores determining weekly winners.
Prizes and Recognition
LASRAB has announced that participants who achieve the highest scores each week will receive special rewards. Prizes include computer tablets, headsets, smart wristwatches, tote bags, and other consolation items. The Bureau emphasised that the quiz is not only a contest but also an educational experience to strengthen civic knowledge and state pride among young people.
Students across Lagos are encouraged to register early and prepare by reviewing key historical facts and major milestones in the state’s growth and governance.
Building Knowledge Through LASRAB Initiatives
Through this initiative, LASRAB continues to support educational development and youth engagement. The Governor’s Milestone Quiz Competition reflects the Bureau’s dedication to preserving Lagos’s history while encouraging students to connect with the state’s achievements.
By participating, students will gain a deeper sense of civic awareness and contribute to building a more informed generation that values the legacy of Lagos State.
