Eligibility and Registration
Candidates of Lagos State origin who chose LASU as their first choice in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are eligible. The registration for the Indigeneship Verification Exercise will start on Monday, 1st July 2024, and will end on Thursday, 1st August 2024.
Verification Interview Schedule
- First Phase: Monday, 8th July 2024 to Thursday, 11th July 2024
- Second Phase: Monday, 15th July 2024 to Thursday, 18th July 2024
- Third Phase: Monday, 22nd July 2024 to Thursday, 25th July 2024
- Fourth Phase: Monday, 29th July 2024 to Thursday, 1st August 2024
Important Notes
- The Indigeneship Verification Exercise does not guarantee admission into LASU.
- Only candidates of Lagos State origin are eligible for screening and must be cleared by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) before being considered for admission.
Method of Application
Candidates must make payment to the Lagos State University account online through the LASU IIVC portal.

- Interview Venues:
- Ikeja Division: Sociology Classroom, opposite University Health Centre
- Badagry Division: New TETFund Building, Faculty of Education
- Ikorodu Division: Law Clinic, Faculty of Law
- Lagos Division: International Business Class, MBA Building
- Epe Division: School of Transport
- Old Applicants: Those from the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 sessions who have not been offered admission must revalidate their Indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at LASU website with payment.
- Direct Entry Applicants: Direct entry candidates of Lagos State origin must participate in this exercise to be considered for admission.
