Lagos State University (LASU) Notice on Submission of National Identification Number (NIN) by Returning Students

The management of Lagos State University (LASU) has issued an urgent notice to all returning full-time undergraduate students regarding the submission of their National Identification Number (NIN). This requirement is now mandatory for every student, as part of efforts to maintain accurate and verified academic records.

The NIN serves as an essential identity reference for all Nigerian citizens. As such, LASU is required to validate and confirm student information using NIN data to strengthen record accuracy across the university’s system.

  3. Enter your matriculation number and course registration password, then click Login.
  4. Input your NIN or review and correct it if already submitted.

Why LASU Requires NIN Verification

The LASU administration emphasised that this process is part of the university’s data verification initiative. It ensures that all enrolled students have authenticated identities, which supports transparent academic administration and national database integration.

Students are encouraged to take immediate action to prevent disruptions in their academic activities and record management.

Official Statement

The notice reiterates LASU’s commitment to maintaining accurate student data and upholding national identification standards. The university appreciates the cooperation of all students in meeting this requirement promptly.
