Lagos State University (LASU) Suspends Admission into Entrepreneurship Programme

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the suspension of admissions into the Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme for full-time regular students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This decision follows extensive deliberations by the University Senate during its meeting on Friday, 15 November 2024.

Reasons for Suspension

The programme is being reorganised to enhance its relevance and better align with industry demands and global practices.

The curriculum is being updated to include skills that improve students’ employability and career prospects.

These changes aim to ensure that students gain valuable knowledge for the evolving job market.

Changes for New Students

Candidates admitted for the 2024/2025 academic session under the Full-Time Degree with Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme (Stream 2) will be moved to the Full-Time Degree Programme (Stream 1).

The new arrangement excludes the Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme.

Candidates will only pay fees applicable to the Full-Time Degree Programme (Stream 1).

Continuation for Returning Students

Returning students in 200, 300, 400, and 500 levels under Stream 2 will continue the Comprehensive Entrepreneurship Programme until graduation.

The decision does not affect students currently enrolled in the programme.
