LASU External System (LASUES) Make-Up Examinations

The Lagos State University External System (LASUES) has announced a crucial update for its students. The University Management has approved the final winding down of the LASUES programme. It is important to note that LASUES is distinct from LASU’s Part-Time Study programme.

If you are a student of LASUES and have not yet graduated, you need to follow specific steps to complete your outstanding courses and participate in the make-up examinations.

Identifying Outstanding Courses

To begin, you need to identify any outstanding courses. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the LASU Students’ Result Portal.
  2. Enter your matriculation number to view your academic profile and see your outstanding courses.

Note: The portal will be accessible from Monday, 10th June 2024.

Enrolment and Payment for Examinations

Once you have identified your outstanding courses, follow these steps to enrol for the exams and make the necessary payments:

  1. Go to the LASU website and navigate to the Student section. Click on “LASUES MopUp Exam”.
  2. Enter your matriculation number and click the submit button. On the Outstanding Course Enrolment page, select the courses you need to enrol in and proceed.
  3. Finalise your enrolment, after which you will be redirected to make a payment for the examination fees. This payment is required to access the main examination portal.

Taking the Examination

After completing the enrolment and payment process, you will need to log in to the examination portal using the matriculation number you used for payment. This will allow you to initiate the examination.

Important Notes

  • A one-time payment is required for the exams covering your outstanding courses. If you fail any course and need to retake it, a retake fee will be applied.
  • The examination period is scheduled from Monday, 10th June 2024, to Wednesday, 10th July 2024. No extensions will be granted.

Final Steps for Graduation

Upon successful completion of your exams, the Vice Chancellor’s committee on LASUES make-up examinations will recommend your graduation for Senate approval.
