MAPOLY matriculation date for 2025/2026 session

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, has announced Wednesday, 18 March 2026, as the date for the 2025/2026 Academic Session matriculation and oath-taking ceremony.

The programme will take place at the Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) Auditorium. The event starts at 10:00 am prompt, while all concerned members of staff and prospective students are expected to be Seated by 9:30 am.

Maiden matriculation lecture holds same day

The ceremony will also feature the Polytechnic’s maiden Matriculation Lecture.

The lecture theme is “Building a Solid Foundation: The Synergy of Character and Competence”. Ven. Samson Kunle Popoola, Chief Executive of SKP International Services Ltd, will deliver the lecture at the OGD Auditorium.

Students required to take part

All newly admitted National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates who have completed registration for the 2025/2026 Academic Session are required to take part in the programme.

This covers fresh ND1 and HND1 students in both full-time and part-time categories.

Academic gowns are compulsory

All matriculating students are required by regulation to wear academic gowns.

Details on the collection of gowns and caps will be released later by the office of the Registrar.

Seating and access rules

All matriculants are to be seated 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

All entrances to the venue will be blocked as soon as the Rector’s Procession has taken off; that instruction is clear and direct.

Management has also warned that people without legitimate business with the matriculation programme should stay Away from the campus.

Oath signing is compulsory

MAPOLY states that matriculation is not complete without signing the Matriculation Oath.

Any affected person who fails to sign the oath will not be regarded as a bona fide student of MAPOLY. The instruction from the Polytechnic is simple: every matriculant must sign the oath.

More updates to follow

More details about the matriculation ceremony will be released by the offices of the Registrar and the Public Relations unit.
