Available Postgraduate Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science

• Requirements: B.Sc. degree in any related discipline or an HND in Computer Science.

M.Sc. in Computer Science

• Requirements: B.Sc. degree in Computer Science with at least a Second Class Lower Division from a recognised university. Candidates with a Third Class degree and a PGD in Computer Science or a related field may also be considered. Additionally, HND holders with a PGD in Computer Science or a related discipline are eligible. Completion of the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or an exemption is necessary.

Ph.D. in Computer Science

• Requirements: Fulfilment of M.Sc. admission requirements. An M.Sc. degree with an average of 60% in Computer Science from McPherson University or another approved institution is required. Candidates registered for the M.Phil. programme showing exceptional ability may transfer to the Ph.D. programme on the recommendation of the Head of Department. Completion of the NYSC programme or an exemption is required.

M.B.A. (Master of Business Administration)

• Requirements: Five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, at O’ Level. A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline with at least a Second Class Lower Division. HND holders with professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA) and a PGD are eligible. Completion of the NYSC programme or an exemption is necessary. Industrial experience is an added advantage, and foreign applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English.

M.Sc. in Accounting

• Requirements: Five credit passes at O’ Level, including English Language, Mathematics, and Economics/Commerce/Accounting. A Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance, or Economics with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division from a recognised university. Completion of the NYSC programme or an exemption is required.
