MDCN Induction of Foreign Trained Medical and Dental Graduates

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) has scheduled the induction ceremony for foreign-trained medical and dental graduates who passed the MDCN Assessment Examination held in September 2024 at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

This induction will take place on Thursday, 28th November 2024, marking a significant milestone for all successful candidates.

Preparing for Induction: Checking Folio Numbers

Prospective inductees should check their emails used during exam registration for their assigned Folio Numbers.

If unsure about the assigned Folio Number, reach out to the MDCN via email at provisionalregistration@mdcn.gov.ng for assistance.

Registering on the MDCN Portal

With the Folio Number ready, proceed with the registration on the MDCN portal by following these steps:

  1. Visit the MDCN Portal.
  2. Click the Doctor Access button.
  3. Select Create New Account below the login form or use the Register link at the page’s top right.
  4. Click the button under New Doctor Account.
  5. Fill out the Registration Form.
  6. Submit by clicking Create Account.

Upon successful account creation, an email with login details will arrive, though it will activate only after receiving a signup approval email from MDCN, usually within 48 business hours.

Completing Registration and Payment

Once the account is active, log in at MDCN Portal to update records and complete necessary payments.

For foreign-trained graduates, select Foreign Provisional Registration from the list under Provisional Registration Type.

Only those who meet all registration requirements will be eligible for the induction on the scheduled date.
