Apply for the 2025 MUTA Education Scholarship Program

The Mutual Union of the Tiv in America (MUTA) Education Committee has announced the 2025 Education Scholarship Program.

This scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate students studying STEM, medicine, or allied medical fields.

Award Details

The program will award up to 16 scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year.

One recipient will be selected from each of the 14 Tiv-speaking LGAs in Benue State, as well as one each from Taraba and Nasarawa states.

The scholarship amount will be determined and announced after the selection process.

Funds can cover tuition, fees, research, or other education-related costs.

To qualify, applicants must:

Applicants not meeting the CGPA requirement will not be considered.

To apply, complete the online application form.

Upload the following supporting documents:

Personal Statement: Write a two-page, double-spaced essay detailing your academic history, achievements, community service, career goals, and financial need.
Certificate of Origin: A document confirming your state or local government origin.
CGPA Certification Form: A signed letter from your institution’s Academic Officer or Head of Department verifying your CGPA.

Applications will be reviewed based on:

Falsified information will lead to disqualification.

Submit your application and documents by 5 PM Tuesday, 15th April 2025 (US EST, GMT-5).

Winners will be notified via email, and their names will be published on MUTA’s official website and social media platforms by June 2025.

The awards will be presented at a ceremony planned for July or August 2025.
