The Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, has released details for the 78th Regular Course screening test. The test will hold on Saturday, 13 June 2026.
This notice concerns applicants shortlisted for the NDA Screening Test. It covers the test date, centre selection, required examination card and subject combinations.
NDA 78RC Screening Test Date
The Nigerian Defence Academy has fixed Saturday, 13 June 2026, for the 78RC Screening Test. Shortlisted applicants should get ready for the examination.
Candidates who meet the required NDA admission cut-off marks will have their names uploaded to the portal once the Academy receives the details from JAMB. The cut-off mark is 180 for all courses except Engineering, which is 210.
Test Location Selection
Eligible candidates are expected to receive an email notice on 20 May 2026. The email will ask them to choose their preferred test location, by state.
Candidates must complete this selection on or before 24 May 2026. NDA advised applicants to select their state of residence, since the test will take place across the country.
Examination Centre Details
Candidates will receive details of their allocated examination centres by the first week of June 2026. The details will go to their registered email addresses.
NDA also restated its commitment to equal opportunity for Nigerians seeking admission into the Academy. Applicants should check their email addresses often after choosing a test state.

Candidates must answer Use of English and three other subjects based on their faculty and chosen course. The subject choices are listed below.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
Candidates for Arts and Social Sciences must answer Use of English and any three subjects that apply to their chosen course.
- Mathematics, compulsory for Psychology candidates
- Economics
- Geography
- History
- Government
- French
- Biology, compulsory for Psychology candidates
- Arabic
Faculty of Science
Science candidates must answer Use of English and three other subjects based on their chosen course.
- Mathematics: Mathematics and any two of Physics, Chemistry and Economics
- Physics: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Biology
- Chemistry: Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology or Mathematics
- Biology: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics
- Biotechnology: Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics
Faculty of Engineering and Technology
Engineering candidates must answer Use of English and the three subjects below.
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
Faculty of Management Science
Management Science candidates must answer Use of English and three other subjects based on their chosen course.
- Economics: Economics and any two of Government, Mathematics and Geography
- Accounting: Mathematics and any two of Geography, Government, Economics or History
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Economics, Mathematics and any one of Geography, Government, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics or History
- Management Sciences: Mathematics, Economics and any one of Geography, Government or History
Faculty of Military Science and Inter-Disciplinary Studies
Candidates under this faculty must answer Use of English and three other subjects based on their chosen course.
- Computer Science: Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Economics or Geography
- Cyber Security: Mathematics, Physics and one of Biology, Chemistry, Economics or Geography
- Intelligence and Security Science: Government and any two of Economics, Geography and History
- Military Science: Mathematics, Physics and one of Chemistry, Biology or Geography
Examination Card Rule
Only candidates with duly printed examination cards will gain entry into the test centres. No printed examination card, no test entry.
Applicants should print the card before the screening date and keep it safe. That single document may decide access at the gate.
