Ensuring Fairness and Justice

The recruitment process was conducted with fairness and equity, involving guidance from key stakeholders such as the Nigeria Police Force, the National Assembly, and the Federal Character Commission. This ensured an equitable distribution of successful candidates across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria.

Recruitment Board and Process

The commission had earlier inaugurated a recruitment board consisting of representatives from various bodies, including the Nigeria Police Force, the Ministry of Police Affairs, Federal Character Commission, Police Colleges, and the Police Trust Fund. This board oversaw the entire recruitment process and reported back to the commission.

Application and Screening Stages

Interested Nigerian youths were invited to apply online through national advertisements. The application period was from 15th October to 26th November 2023.

Computer Based Tests (CBT) and Medical Screening

After the physical and credentials screening, 171,956 applicants were shortlisted for the Computer Based Tests (CBT), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Following this, 15,447 General Duty applicants who performed well in the CBT were invited for medical screening.

Selection Criteria

To ensure inclusivity, 10 candidates were selected from each of the 774 local government areas, as per the National Assemblyโ€™s decision on February 29, 2024. The PSC also adhered to the Nigeria Data Protection Act of 2023, maintaining confidentiality and data security for all recruits.

Checking Application Status

Successful candidates can check the status of their applications through the PSCโ€™s dedicated web page at https://www.policeservicecommission.cloud/. For complaints or inquiries, applicants can contact the PSC recruitment help desk via WhatsApp at 08094767777 and 09031318499.
