Nigeria Signature Leadership Journey for Women 2025
WomenLift Health, in partnership with the Women in Leadership Advancement Network (WILAN), has launched the Nigeria Leadership Journey.
The fully funded programme will run for 12 months, offering women in public health the tools, network, and mentorship to advance their leadership journey.
Programme Details
- The Leadership Journey is designed for mid to senior career women working in public health policy, practice, or research.
- The programme focuses on building leadership skills to solve complex health challenges.
- Participants will gain tools, strategies, and a network to enhance their leadership presence and influence.
- The learning process combines virtual sessions, mentoring, coaching, and self-directed projects.
- Participants will also engage in two in-person residencies.
- These residencies include a 3-day Immersion (25–27 August 2025) and a 2-day Lift-Off (9–10 April 2026).
- The programme will also provide access to a lifelong network of leaders at local, regional, and global levels.
Programme Costs
- The Nigeria Leadership Journey is fully funded.
- All costs, including travel and accommodation, will be covered for participants.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Identify as a woman.
- Work in public health policy, practice, or research.
- Serve populations at the national level in Nigeria.
- Possess 10 to 20 years of experience in public health.
- Be a Nigerian national.
- Reside and work in Nigeria.
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
- Live in the West Africa Standard Time zone for at least 75% of the programme duration.
The programme seeks women from various sectors, disciplines, and cultural backgrounds, including public, private, academic, and NGO roles.
Application Process
Applications for the programme close on 31 January 2025.
The programme will run from June 2025 to April 2026.
Applicants must confirm their availability to attend all required sessions.
Participation in the two in-person residencies is mandatory.
