Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Recruitment 2025 Application Guide
The Nigerian Air Force has opened applications for Airmen and Airwomen under Basic Military Training Course 46/2025. Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Recruitment is free. Applicants should read the rules, check that they are fit, and then apply online through the official portal. Dates, age bands, school results, and forms to print are set out below.
Who can apply
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
- Minimum height: 1.66 m for males, 1.63 m for females.
- Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit and meet NAF medical and employment standards.
- Applicants must have no past conviction by a court of law.
Non-trades
- Age: 18 to 22 years at the time of application
- Education: At least 5 credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS
- Secondary school testimonial required
Trades
- Age: 18 to 27 years at the time of application
- ND or NCE holders: At least Lower Credit from accredited schools, plus 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS
- Drivers and trades that need trade test: 5 credits including Mathematics and English in not more than 2 sittings, the relevant trade test certificate, and a valid driving licence for drivers
- Sportsmen and sportswomen: Present proof of professional work, such as certificates and medals, in addition to the SSCE credits
How to apply for Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Recruitment
Apply online at the NAF recruitment portal. Read the listed requirements on the portal before filling the form.
Documents to print after the form
After completing the online form, applicants must print these:
- Acknowledgement Form
- Parent or Guardian Consent Form
- Local Government Area Attestation Form signed by one of the following from the applicant’s state:
- A military officer not below Wing Commander in the Air Force or the equivalent rank in the Army or Navy
- A Police officer of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or above
- A substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary
- A Magistrate
The Attestation Form must include the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of the signee’s Driver’s Licence or National ID Card or International Passport.
Note: The above forms will not be generated for invalid applicants.
Dates and selection
- Online registration runs from 14 October 2025 to 25 November 2025.
- The Zonal General Aptitude Test date will be shared on the NAF Recruitment Portal.
- Only successful applicants will be invited for the Selection Interview.
