NNPC/Total National Merit Scholarship Award 2025
Looking for help with school fees? The NNPC and TotalEnergies National Merit Scholarship is open for Nigerian undergraduates in 100 or 200 level. Read on to see if you're eligible and how to apply before the 1st July deadline.
The NNPC Limited and TotalEnergies National Merit Scholarship is here again for the 2024/2025 academic year. It’s a yearly scholarship that helps Nigerian undergraduates cover their school costs until they graduate. Whether you’re studying engineering, law or languages, this offer is for you if you’re in your first or second year.
This is part of TotalEnergies’ promise to give back. And yes, it’s open to students in any Nigerian university that the National Universities Commission (NUC) recognises.
Who Can Apply?
Not every student is eligible. Here’s what you must meet:
- You must be a full-time student in a Nigerian university approved by the NUC.
- You must be in 100 or 200 level when applying.
- You must have scored 200 or more in your UTME.
- If you’re in 200 level, your CGPA must be at least 2.5 on a 5.0 scale.
Simple enough, right?
Don’t Waste Time If…
Skip the application if you:
- Scored below 200 in UTME.
- Are in 200 level but have a CGPA under 2.5.
- Are already in 300 level or beyond.
- Already have a similar scholarship from an oil or gas company.
If you fall into any of these, this isn’t for you.
When and How To Apply
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, 1st July, 2025. That’s not far off, so don’t sit on it.
To apply, visit the TotalEnergies scholarship application page. It’s only online. No printing, no mailing.
A Few Things To Keep In Mind
- Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for the selection test.
- Tests will be held at centres across the country.
- You’ll have to cover your transport to and from the test venue, so pick a centre near you.
