First Semester

DECEMBER 2024

Friday, 13th: University closes for end-of-year break and opening of university portal for registration.
Tuesday, 24th: Christmas Eve.
Wednesday, 25th: Christmas Day.
Thursday, 26th: Boxing Day.
Tuesday, 31st: New Year’s Eve.

JANUARY 2025

Wednesday, 1st: New Year’s Day.
Sunday, 12th: Resumption of all new and returning students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Monday, 13th:
- Resumption of staff from the end-of-year break.
- Commencement of lectures for all students.
Tuesday, 14th: Meeting of the Academic Planning and Curriculum Committee.
Wednesday, 15th: Meeting of the PG Board.
Sunday, 19th: Closing of registration for all new and returning students.
Monday, 20th: Commencement of late registration for new and returning students.
Wednesday, 22nd: Meeting of the Committee of Deans, Provost, and Academic Directors.
Sunday, 26th: Registration portal closes for all students.
Wednesday, 29th: Inaugural lecture.
Thursday, 30th: Regular Senate meeting.

FEBRUARY 2025

Tuesday, 4th – Wednesday, 5th: Training of staff and new students on the NSUK LMS platform.
Thursday, 6th – Friday, 7th: Training of level coordinators, departmental and faculty exams officers, HODs, deans, and academic directors on the university examination portal.
Tuesday, 11th: Meeting of the Academic Planning and Curriculum Committee.
Wednesday, 12th: Meeting of the PG Board.
Thursday, 13th: Orientation for new students.
Friday, 14th: Matriculation of new students.
Wednesday, 19th: Meeting of the Committee of Deans, Provost, and Academic Directors.
Wednesday, 26th: Inaugural lecture.
Thursday, 27th: Regular Senate meeting.

MARCH 2025

Tuesday, 11th: Meeting of PG Board.
Monday, 3rd – Saturday, 8th: Add and drop period for course registration.

Monday, 17th – Saturday, 22nd: Conduct and submission of Continuous Assessment CBT test results.
