FUPRE Gains NUC Approval for Four New B.Sc. Programmes

The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce new undergraduate programmes.

These programmes will be available from the 2024/2025 academic session under the College of Petroleum Administration and Management.

List of Newly Approved Courses

The approved programmes include:

• B.Sc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• B.Sc. Procurement Management
• B.Sc. Petroleum Information Management
• B.Sc. Entrepreneurship

The decision follows a detailed evaluation by NUC experts, confirming that FUPRE has the required facilities and expertise to run these courses.

Official Confirmation from NUC

A letter dated 25th February 2025, addressed to the Vice-Chancellor, confirmed the approval.

The letter, signed by the Executive Secretary of the NUC, stated that after thorough consideration, the commission has approved the establishment of these programmes in a full-time mode at FUPRE’s main campus.

With this approval, students can enrol in these courses from the 2024/2025 academic session.

FUPRE’s Vice-Chancellor Reacts

The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Professor Akpofure Rim-Rukeh FNES, expressed appreciation to the NUC for recognising FUPRE’s capability to run these programmes.
