OOU Admission Procedure 2025/2026: Step By Step Guide
Olabisi Onabanjo University has released its 2025/2026 admission procedure. Only candidates who joined the post-UTME are eligible, and all offers will go through JAMB CAPS. Applicants must print results, check CAPS often, and accept admission quickly.

Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU Admission List for UTME and DE Candidates
The management of Olabisi Onabanjo University has rolled out its rules for the coming admission season. The 2025/2026 guide is clear enough, though some parts need a careful read so no one gets lost in the process.
Who Is Eligible For OOU Admission
- Only candidates who sat for the OOU post-UTME will be considered
- A final aggregate of at least 40 per cent is required for full-time admission
- The aggregate is calculated with both UTME and post-UTME scores combined
It may sound like arithmetic, but the simple truth is that your scores will be weighed together to see if you qualify.
Key Steps In The OOU Admission Procedure
Applicants must follow a few marked steps. Skipping one could close the door, so better safe than sorry:
- Log on to the OOU post-UTME portal to print your results
- Keep checking JAMB CAPS for admission updates
- Accept any admission offer on JAMB CAPS quickly, or you risk losing it
- Print your JAMB Admission Letter once accepted, through the official portal
- Proceed to the OOU Admission Portal to start registration
About O’Level Results
Candidates who have not uploaded their O’Level results on JAMB CAPS, especially those fresh NECO 2025 results, will not be offered admission. It is as direct as that.
Special Cases
Some applicants may be offered a course transfer. If that happens:
- First accept the transfer offer on JAMB CAPS
- Then accept the admission itself
- After this, complete a Change of Course within two weeks so you can print your admission letter
And one firm warning from the school: do not attempt a Change of Course without first accepting a transfer offer. That mistake could set you back badly.
Final Notes
OOU has reminded all candidates to disregard rumours from unofficial channels. The school will publish updates in official notices only.
Admission season can feel like a race with too many hurdles, but with this guide, every step is mapped out. Keep your eyes on the right portals, accept offers in time, and keep your documents neat. The rest, as they say, falls into place.
