Postponed orientation schedule for freshers

The postponed programme was meant to run for five days at the start of December 2025.

New students had expected to use this period to learn about campus rules, meet key staff members and get used to their new learning environment. The university management has paused the event and will provide an updated timetable once plans are ready.

The orientation programme helps new students feel welcome and settle into university life.

During such sessions, freshers are usually guided on basic rules, student support, and how to make use of core services such as registration points and official channels for enquiries. The goal is to make the start of the academic year clear and less stressful for those who have just gained admission.

Message from the university management

The Registrar, Dr Bayo Orukotan, shared appreciation on behalf of the management for the patience and cooperation of students.

Current and incoming students are encouraged to follow official school channels for any update on the new date once it is fixed. No change has been stated to the status of the 2025/2026 academic session itself; only the orientation timetable has been affected.
