OSPOLY Iree has enforced a dress code to stop indecent dressing among students. A monitoring committee will ensure compliance, and violations will lead to disciplinary action. Read further to see the full list of prohibited dress styles.

OSPOLY Iree Enforces Dress Code for Students

Osun State Polytechnic (OSPOLY), Iree, has introduced a dress code policy to regulate student dressing. The institution’s Board of Studies approved this measure on 3 November 2022 to prevent indecent dressing.

A monitoring committee has been established to enforce the rule and identify violators. The Students Disciplinary Committee (SDC) will apply appropriate sanctions against offenders.

The monitoring committee will operate at the faculty level and inspect lecture halls, workshops, and laboratories to ensure compliance.

Prohibited Dressing Styles

Students are warned against the following:

  1. Crazy jeans for both men and women
  2. Sagging trousers
  3. Coloured hair
  4. Earrings for men and nose rings for women
  5. Tattoos
  6. Loitering jeans trousers
  7. Bathroom slippers or bum shorts
  8. Dreadlocks for men
  9. Face caps for both men and women
  10. Spaghetti gowns
  11. Short skirts above the knees
  12. Wagging trousers
  13. Ankle chains for women
  14. Long eyelashes for women
  15. Perforated jeans
  16. Gowns or blouses exposing the navel or breast
  17. Knickers
  18. Net dresses or transparent blouses
  19. Hairstyles with inscriptions
  20. Hair extensions in colours such as blue, green, white, yellow, red, pink, and purple
  21. Armless blouses for women and armless shirts for both men and women
  22. Mini skirts
  23. Dressing without bra or underwear
  24. Curled hair for men

All students must comply with the dress code to uphold the institution’s reputation. Any student caught violating the rule will face disciplinary action.
