Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) starts the 2024/2025 admission process after the post-UTME screening. See what steps are needed to complete your admission.

OUU Commences Admission Exercise

The Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) has kicked off the admission process for the 2024/2025 academic year. With the post-UTME screening now complete, it is time for applicants to get ready for the next steps. If you took part in the screening, pay close attention to the details below to ensure your admission goes smoothly.

What You Need to Know About OOU Admissions

If you participated in the OOU post-UTME screening, you are eligible for the admission process.

To check your post-UTME results, you will need to log in to the OOU Post-UTME Portal. Make sure you have all your details ready.

To qualify for full-time admission, you need to achieve a minimum score of 40% in your final aggregate. If you meet this requirement, you can proceed to the next steps.

JAMB CAPS Is Crucial

All admissions at OOU are handled through JAMB CAPS. This means you must log in to JAMB CAPS to check your admission status.

If you are offered a place, you need to accept the admission on JAMB CAPS. If you do not accept it, you will not receive your JAMB Admission Letter, which is required for registration at OOU.

It is also essential to upload your O’level results on JAMB CAPS. Without this, your admission cannot be processed.

What Happens If You Are Offered a Different Programme?

Sometimes, candidates who do not meet the cut-off requirements for their desired programme may be considered for a different course.

If you are offered a new course, you must first accept the Transfer Request on JAMB CAPS. After that, you need to visit a JAMB CBT Centre to make a change of course.

Do not make any changes without accepting the transfer request first, as this may create issues with your admission.

Be Wary of Unofficial Information

Only trust information from verified and official OOU sources. Updates and further instructions will be communicated through the university’s official channels. Keep checking for notices to stay informed.

Best of luck as you move forward in the OOU admission process. Stay prepared, stay informed, and get ready for this exciting step in your education journey.
