ITF-NECA Automotive Training: Apply for PAN Learning Centre's Free Tuition Programme

The PAN Learning Centre Automotive Technological Skills Acquisition Training programme is a specialised initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians. Collaborating with the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA), the centre provides four months of in-depth training in various automotive fields.

Programme Overview

The PAN Learning Centre was established in 1978 as part of an international organisation focused on skills development. Now fully nationalised, it’s a subsidiary of PAN Nigeria Limited, a leading car manufacturer in the country. The training centre is dedicated to developing middle-level technicians with the expertise needed to meet the demands of the Nigerian automotive industry.

This training programme is designed to equip you with critical skills in automotive technology and trades, making you ready to tackle industry challenges head-on.

Programme Location and Duration

• Location: Kaduna
• Duration: 4 months

1. Vehicle Maintenance & Diagnosis
2. Auto Spray Painting
3. Welding & Fabrication

Programme Objectives

• Technical Skill Development: The course will train and empower you with essential skills to maintain modern vehicles in the above fields.
• Problem Solving: You’ll gain the practical ability to diagnose and fix technical issues in a professional setting.

What to Expect

• Non-residential: Candidates are responsible for their accommodation during the programme.
• Tuition-free: There are no tuition fees, and you’ll receive a monthly stipend for transport.

Eligibility Requirements

• Age: 18 to 35 years
• Qualifications: Certificates must be dated no earlier than 2015. Candidates can apply if they hold one of the following:
  • National Technical Certificate in automotive trades
  • London City & Guilds certification in a relevant field
  • Federal Craft Certificate
  • Certificate course from an accredited institution in automotive engineering
  • Roadside apprentice experience

Entrance Examination

Shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation for the entrance test. You must bring:

• Original birth certificate
• Original certificates of educational qualifications
• National ID, Voter’s Card, or International Passport
