FG Allows Full-Time HND Graduates With PT OND For NYSC
Full-time HND graduates with part-time OND can now join NYSC. The Federal Government has approved this change and set up a portal for verification. Read on for full details and steps to follow.
Full-time HND graduates who started with a part-time OND can now join the NYSC programme.
The new rule came from the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Olatunji Alausa.
This clears a problem that has blocked many from joining NYSC for years.
This change applies only to those who switched from a part-time OND to a full-time HND.
Those who finished both OND and HND as part-time are not part of this update.
The Federal Ministry of Education wants fairness for all graduates.
The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) got the order to move fast on this.
NBTE must collect and check the records of all graduates who now qualify.
Every Polytechnic Rector has received a message to upload student records.
The records will go into the new HND admission portal.
This portal will help NYSC know who is fit to serve.
Before now, many students with this background faced delays and rejection.
The new portal will help solve that.
The Honourable Minister asked all who qualify to act fast.
Those with a full-time HND and part-time OND can now prepare for NYSC.
They must make sure their schools upload their names and details.
NYSC will use only the portal to see who can serve.
This step opens the door for many to join national service.
Every graduate must check with their school for updates.
The schools will guide them on what to do next.
This move gives hope to many young people.
NYSC remains a way for Nigerian graduates to serve and grow.
The Ministry promises to keep making things fair.
To track the new process and stay updated, visit the NBTE admission portal for HND.
