Teaching Requirements (Summary)

Non-Teaching Staff Requirements

Registry Department

Deputy Registrar (CONTISS 14)
A good honours degree in Humanities or Social Sciences plus at least fifteen (15) years relevant experience after graduation, with a large part in a higher education setting, preferably a university. Membership of a Chartered Professional Body and computer literacy are required.

Principal Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 13)
A good honours degree in Humanities or Social Sciences plus at least twelve (12) years relevant experience, preferably in a university. Membership of a Chartered Professional Body and computer literacy are required.

Administrative Officer (CONTISS 8)
A good honours degree in Humanities or Social Sciences plus at least three (3) years relevant experience in a higher education setting. Computer literacy is required.

Executive Officer (Administration) (CONTISS 6)
National Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Local Government Administration plus at least three (3) years relevant experience.

Assistant Executive Officer (Administration) (CONTISS 5)
National Diploma in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Local Government Administration.

Senior Confidential Secretary (CONTISS 8)

Porter I (CONTISS 3)
SSCE or equivalent with four (4) credits including English Language.

SSCE or equivalent with four (4) credits including English Language.

Bursary Department

Deputy Bursar (CONTISS 14)
A good degree in Accounting with at least fifteen (15) years relevant experience plus membership of a recognised Chartered Professional Body. The role requires ability to develop financial policies and produce accounting manuals.

Chief Accountant (CONTISS 13)
A good degree in Accounting with at least twelve (12) years relevant experience plus membership of a recognised Chartered Professional Body. The role requires ability to carry out financial policies and produce accounting procedure manuals.

Health Services

Senior Medical Officer I (CONMESS 4)
MBBS and nine (9) years experience after registration with MDCN.

Senior Medical Officer II (CONMESS 3)
MBBS and six (6) years experience after registration with MDCN.

Directorate of Works & Physical Planning

Senior Quantity Surveyor (CONTISS 9)
Good degree in Quantity Surveying, registration with QSRBN, plus six (6) years relevant experience.

Principal Engineer (Electrical) (CONTISS 11)
Good degree in Electrical Engineering, COREN registration, plus nine (9) years relevant experience.

Driver II (CONTISS 3)
SSCE with three (3) credits including English Language and a valid ‘Group E’ Driving Licence plus Trade Test Grade II Certificate and four (4) years relevant experience.
