Rhema University Postgraduate Admission Requirements
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
To be eligible for admission into the PGD programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Five credit passes including English and Mathematics at O’ Level in no more than two sittings.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum of a third-class degree in a relevant field.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in relevant programmes from accredited institutions with at least an upper credit.
- For unclassified HNDs, a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale, or 3.00 on a 4-point scale, or 60%, is accepted.
Master’s Degree (M.Sc.)
Admission into the M.Sc. programme requires:
- A first degree from a recognized university with at least a second class lower division (CGPA of not less than 3.00/5.00).
- A postgraduate diploma from a recognized university.
- Other qualifications acceptable to the University Senate.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
Candidates applying for the Ph.D. programme must:
- Hold a master’s degree in the relevant discipline with a performance of no less than 60% from a recognized university.
- Possess an M.Phil. in the relevant field.
Concept Note
Applicants for Ph.D. and Master’s programmes must submit a Concept Note along with their application.
The Concept Note should be two pages for Ph.D. programmes and one page for Master’s.
It must include:
- Brief theoretical background
- Statement of the problem
- Relevance of the study to the applicant and society
- Objective(s) of the study
- Justification
- Methodology
Candidates who fail to submit their Concept Note may not be invited for an oral interview.
Programme Duration
Postgraduate Diploma
The PGD programme runs for a minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters.
Master’s Degree
The M.Sc. programme lasts a minimum of three semesters and a maximum of five semesters.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)
The Ph.D. programme runs for a minimum of six semesters and a maximum of eight semesters.

To apply for the Rhema University postgraduate admission, candidates should:
- Obtain the application form from the Postgraduate School, Rhema University or online at Rhema University Official Website.
- Completed forms must be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, Rhema University.

Referee’s Report
Candidates must download three copies of the Referee’s Report Form from the university’s website.
Two referees should be former teachers, and one should attest to the applicant’s character and integrity.

Transcript Submission
Candidates must also download the Transcript Request Form and submit it to their previous institutions.
The transcripts must be sent to:

Transcripts must reach the university no later than 4th March, 2022.
Submission of Application Forms
Most of the application details will be completed online.
After completing the form, candidates must print it out, along with the following required documents:
- NYSC certificate (Discharge, Exemption, or Exclusion)
- Three copies of the completed application summary form
- Relevant credentials and qualifications
- Six passport photographs
- Concept Note (for Master’s and Ph.D. programmes)
