The Renaissance University (RNU) postgraduate admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now available. The School of Postgraduate Studies invites applications from qualified candidates for various postgraduate programmes.

General Entry Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. O’Level Credits: Five credits at not more than two sittings in WASC, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB, including English Language.
2. Degree Requirement: Minimum entry requirements for first-degree and postgraduate programmes in the relevant area of interest.

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Candidates eligible for Postgraduate Diploma admission include:

• Bachelor’s Degree Holders: Graduates from recognized universities with at least a third class honours and a GPA of 2.0 on a 5-point scale.
• HND Holders: Candidates with an HND and a 3.50 GPA on a 5-point scale or equivalent.
• Professional Qualifications: Candidates with professional qualifications such as Associate Institute of Bankers, Associate Certified Chartered Accountants, etc., may have an added advantage.

Master’s Degree Programmes (M.A, M.Sc, MBA, and MPA)

Candidates eligible for Master’s Degree admission include:

• Bachelor’s Degree Holders: Graduates from recognized universities with at least a second class honours and a minimum GPA of 2.50.
• Postgraduate Diploma Holders: Candidates with relevant Postgraduate Diplomas with at least a credit level pass and a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.

Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) Programmes

Candidates eligible for Doctorate Degree admission include:

• Master’s Degree Holders: Graduates with a Master’s degree and a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale.

Master’s/Ph.D. Programme

Candidates with first class honours or a Master’s degree with a GPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale may be considered for the Master’s/Ph.D. programme.

Duration of Courses

• Postgraduate Diploma: Two semesters (regular).
• Master’s Degree: Minimum of three semesters for full-time and five semesters for part-time.

Transcripts

Candidates should download the transcript request forms provided online and submit them to their former institutions to forward their academic transcripts to:

Additional Information

• All applications will undergo computer-based postgraduate admission screening.
• The date for the postgraduate admission screening will be announced later.
• For Ph.D. programmes, candidates must have published at least one article from their Ph.D. thesis in a journal certified by the university.
• Plagiarism tests will be conducted on Master’s Project Reports and Ph.D. Theses before approval.
