ECWA School of Nursing, Egbe is situated on a major intersection between Ilorin and Lokoja, students from other part of the State and country are being trained.
The Nurses Training School (School of Nursing) Egbe was established in 1955 with provision approval by the Nursing Council of Nigeria to the Sudan Interior Mission (S.I.M.)
The school was established by Dr. George F. Campion to serve the need of Egbe Hospital. The school was one of the few voluntary agency health institutions which are scattered all over Nigeria during the period.
However, because of finance, inadequate staffing, essential materials and infrastructures, the government ordered its closure in 1972. Again provision approval to re-establish the school was given in November 1992. Full accreditation was received in 2006 by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Through the supports of the Kogi State Government and efforts of the founding fathers and concerned individuals alongside with the pioneer principal staffs.
