UBTH Gerontology Nursing Screening & Admission 2025

University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) College of Nursing Sciences has announced the Post Basic Gerontology Nursing Programme (Cohort 2) for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The programme runs for one year, leading to registration as a Gerontology Nurse under the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Entry Requirements

Candidates must have:

• Five credit passes in WASC, GCE, or NECO, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (not more than two sittings).
• A valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) certificate.
• At least one year of post-registration nursing practice experience.
• A current and valid practising licence.

Screening and Examination

• Batch 1: 6 February 2025
• Batch 2: 26 March 2025
• Mode: Virtual (can be taken from home, office, or any preferred location).

Application Process

• Apply online at UBTH College of Nursing Portal.
• Upload original, clearly scanned documents.
• Application Fee: ₦20,000.
