The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) School of Post Basic Nursing (SPBN) admission form for the 2024/2025 academic session is now available. UBTH SPBN offers the following diploma programmes:

• Diploma in Ophthalmic Nursing and Management
• Diploma in Perioperative Nursing and Management
• Diploma in Paediatric Nursing and Management
• Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing and Management
  • Fee: ₦12,000
• Diploma in Gerontology Nursing
  • Fee: ₦20,000

Entry Qualifications

To be eligible for admission, you must:

• Have five (5) credits in not more than two sittings in WAEC/GCE O’ Levels, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.
• Be a qualified nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Have at least one year of post-registration clinical experience in the relevant area.

Duration

Each programme lasts for one year.

Method of Application

2. Payment: Pay the application fee of ₦10,000 using the Remita platform. Payments should be made directly into the UBTH Account with TSA under the service type “Training School of Post Basic Nursing Studies” at any bank in Nigeria.

• Accommodation and Feeding: Candidates are responsible for their own accommodation and feeding during the examination period.
• Online Registration: All registrations must be completed online through the college of nursing portal.
