UCH Ibadan Nurse/Midwife/Public Health Nurse Tutors' Programme Admission

The University College Hospital, Ibadan is inviting applications for the Nurse/Midwife/Public Health Tutors’ Programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The programme, run by the Federal Training Centre for Teachers of Health Sciences, which is affiliated with the University of Ibadan, aims to train individuals to become Nurse Educators, Midwife Educators, or Public Health Nurse Educators through the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education (PGDNE).

To be eligible for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education (PGDNE), applicants need:

Professional Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must be Registered Nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Candidates must hold a first degree in Nursing.

Applicants also need a current practising licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Two years of post-qualification work experience will be an added advantage.

How to Apply for the Nurse Educator Programme

To apply for the Nurse/Midwife/Public Health Nurse Tutors’ Programme, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the University of Ibadan Postgraduate College portal.
  2. Click on “Sign Up” for new applicants.
  3. Enter personal details in the form.
  4. A code will appear on the right-hand side of the form; enter the code to continue.
  5. A message will be sent to the email address provided.
  6. Check your email for a username and password to access the portal.
  7. Log in with the provided details.
  8. Select Faculty of Clinical Science, Department of Nursing, and then the PGDNE Programme.
  9. Generate an invoice and make the payment using an ATM card (MasterCard).

Examination and Selection Process

Candidates must undertake an English Language proficiency test.

An interactive session will also be conducted.

The examination date will be announced later.

Training Conditions for the Programme

Candidates or their sponsors must cover all fees and other related expenses.
