UNIABUJA Admission List 2025/2026 Now Out
The University of Abuja has announced the admission list for the 2025–2026 academic year. Applicants can now check their admission status through the JAMB CAPS portal. Full guide is shared below, kindly read through.
The University of Abuja, fondly called UNIABUJA, has released its admission list for the new academic session. After months of waiting and refreshing pages, candidates who took part in the screening can finally breathe a little easier. Both freshers from UTME and those entering through Direct Entry are included in this announcement.
Steps to Check UNIABUJA Admission List
The only official way at the moment is through the JAMB CAPS portal. It is not complicated, though the site can be tricky at times. Here is how to go about it:
- Visit the JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Enter your JAMB username and password to sign in.
- Scroll down and tap on Check Admission Status.
- Pick Access my CAPS.
- Finally, choose Admission Status to know if UNIABUJA has given you a place.
Simple enough, though patience may be tested if the page drags.
What Each Response Means on CAPS
When you log in, the system might show one of several messages. These short notes carry big meaning, so here is a plain guide:
- ADMISSION OFFERED
This is the big one. It means JAMB has confirmed your spot. You must go ahead and either accept or reject it on CAPS. - ADMISSION IN PROGRESS (AIP)
Your name is moving along the line. The school has sent it up, and it waits for a nod from both the Head of the school and JAMB. - RECOMMENDED
The school has looked at you and passed it to JAMB for a second check. - NOT ADMITTED
Tough, but it means no seat yet. Sometimes the list is not out fully or your file is still resting in review. - PENDING
Your case is still under look, no final word yet.
What to Do After an Offer
If you are lucky to get “Admission Offered”, the next step is to act fast.
- Send ACCEPT or REJECT by SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number tied to your JAMB profile.
- After accepting, make sure to print out your JAMB admission letter.
That letter is important, so do not forget it.
Small Tip for Phone Users
Many candidates open CAPS on their phones and get stuck with only a welcome note. The full page does not load. To fix this, use Chrome, switch to desktop site from the options, and reload the page. That way, the full menu shows up.
Wrapping Up
Congratulations to those who found their names on the UNIABUJA admission list. For those still waiting, keep the faith. Admission updates often come in batches, and today’s “not admitted” may turn into tomorrow’s “offered”.
