The University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) Centre for Petroleum and Energy Resource Economics (CPERE) announces the sale of admission forms for its postgraduate programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.
This opportunity is open to candidates from diverse academic and professional fields, including Social Sciences, Engineering, Sciences, Geoscience, Management Sciences, Finance, Law, Education, Military, and Agriculture.

The postgraduate programmes at CPERE include:
- Doctorate in Energy Economics (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Specialisations: Energy Policy and Innovation, Energy Finance, Energy and Environment, International Oil and Gas Management, Renewable Energy, and Electricity Economics. - Masters in Energy Economics (Full-Time and Part-Time)
Specialisations: Energy Policy and Innovation, Energy Finance, Energy and Environment, International Oil and Gas Management, Renewable Energy, and Electricity Economics. - Master of Science (MSc) Energy Economics (Full-Time and Part-Time)

Admission Requirements
Candidates seeking admission must meet the following criteria:
- Five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics at O Level in not more than two sittings.
- Doctorate applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Petroleum and Energy Economics or its equivalent.
- Master’s degree candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or its equivalent from recognised institutions. A Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Petroleum and Energy Economics is also acceptable.
- PGD candidates should possess a minimum of a Third Class Bachelor’s degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or its equivalent from recognised institutions.
- Applicants must have an NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter.
Course Duration
The duration for each programme varies as follows:
- Professional Doctorate Degree
- Full-Time: Minimum of 36 months
- Part-Time: Minimum of 42 months
- MSc and Professional Master Degrees
- Full-Time: Minimum of three semesters and maximum of six semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of six semesters and maximum of eight semesters
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
- Full-Time: Minimum of two semesters and maximum of four semesters
- Part-Time: Minimum of four semesters and maximum of six semesters
