UNIDEL Announces End of 2022/2023 First Semester

University of Delta (UNIDEL) has announced the conclusion of the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic session, with examinations ending on 3rd June 2023. A one-week break will follow from 4th to 11th June. Students are required to vacate hostels by 12noon, 4th June. Second semester lectures begin on 13th June.

 University of Delta (UNIDEL) First Semester Break

In a recent development, the University of Delta (UNIDEL) has announced the conclusion of the first semester for the 2022/2023 academic session. The University’s Senate had previously approved Saturday, 3rd June 2023, as the end date for the first semester examinations.

University Proceeds on One-Week Break

In line with the University’s calendar, students are hereby notified that a one-week break will commence from Sunday, 4th June, running until Sunday, 11th June 2023. This break marks the end of the first semester and provides an opportunity for students to rest and recharge before the commencement of the second semester.

Vacating University Accommodation

As part of the end-of-semester procedures, students are required to vacate their University hostel accommodations by no later than 12 noon on Sunday, 4th June 2023. This directive is important to allow for the necessary cleaning and maintenance work to be carried out in the hostels during the break.

Second Semester Commencement Date

As the first semester draws to a close, preparations are already underway for the commencement of the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic session. Students are hereby informed that lectures for the second semester will begin on Tuesday, 13th June 2023.

Message from the Vice Chancellor

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Mrs.) S.C. Chiemeke, took the opportunity to congratulate all staff and students on the successful completion of the first semester. She expressed her appreciation for their hard work and commitment during the semester, and wished everyone a well-deserved rest during the break.

In her words, “The conclusion of the first semester is always a significant milestone in the academic year. I want to express my appreciation to all the staff and students for their dedication and perseverance. I wish everyone a restful and enjoyable break.”

As the University community looks forward to the break, students are encouraged to use this period wisely to rest, review their first semester’s work, and prepare for the second semester. The University looks forward to welcoming everyone back on 13th June 2023, for the commencement of the second semester lectures.
