A Quick Look at UNIJOS
UNIJOS began as a campus of the University of Ibadan back in 1971. It became its own university in 1975. Located in Jos, Plateau State, the school enjoys a peaceful setting and mild weather that supports study and research.
Over the years, the university has played a key role in solving real-life problems across science, technology, the environment, and culture. It has partnerships with both local and international bodies, including a recent project with the French Development Agency to boost its digital systems.
The school runs 17 faculties with over 45,000 full-time undergraduates and around 8,000 postgraduate students. Its staff numbers are just as strong, with over 1,400 academic staff and more than 2,600 administrative and technical workers.
