University of Lagos (UNILAG) Institute of Maritime Studies is now selling applications forms for admission into its Professional programmes for the 2019/2020 academic session. The Institute of Maritime Studies, University of Lagos (UNILAG) hereby announces the commencement of admission into the following programmes:
- Professional Certificate in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management
- International Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management
- International Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management
UNILAG Institute of Maritime Studies Professional Programmes Admission Eligibility
- All practitioners in Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (including warehouse operators, consolidators, expeditors, logistics service providers (such as insurance and banking services), freight operators in all modes of transport, cargo operators at terminals, Supply Chain Management practitioners, those involved with handling of dangerous goods etc.)
- Those who wish to make a career in Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Those in the transportation business wishing to specialize in international Haulage.
- Professionals from other fields wishing to develop skills and competencies in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management.
- Those in the Oil and Gas industry involved in international cargo logistics.
UNILAG Institute of Maritime Studies Professional Programmes Admission Requirements
A. Professional Certificate in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain (Remedial Programme). Duration: 6 months
Applicants must have the ability to read and write and have any of the following:
- First School Leaving Certificate
- Certificate of Experience from a reputable freight forwarding organization or
- West African School Certificate (WASC); General Certificate of Education (GCE) or equivalent.
B. International Diploma in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management. Duration: 1 year
Applicants must possess any of the following:
- Professional Certificate in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain Management
- Four O Level credits (WAEC, GCE, NECO) or its equivalent
- An OND, HND or degree in any field of study
- Any relevant professional qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), etc
C. International Higher Diploma in Supply Chain Management Duration: 1 year
Applicants must possess the International Diploma in Freight Forwarding or its equivalent.
Commencement Date: Monday, 28th October, 2019
How to Apply for UNILAG Institute of Maritime Studies Professional Programmes Admission Form
Please apply through the University of Lagos admissions portal as highlighted below:
- Visit University of Lagos application portal: http://applications.unilag.edu.ng/
- Under application type , select IMS and complete the pre-application form to obtain a payment reference number (PRN)
- Make payment at any commercial bank in Nigeria with the payment reference number (PRN)
- Return to http://applications.unilag.edu.ng/
- Click on continue application.
- Log in with the PRN and the applicants surname, in lower case, as password.
- Complete the application form and print out two copies for yourself.
- Application Form: N15, 000:00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira) (Non-refundable).
