UNILAG Postgraduate Admission Form is Out 2025/2026

The School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos, has opened admission into postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 session.

You may apply if you have a valid degree from a recognised university.

There are four types of postgraduate study:

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Academic Master’s Degree (LL.M, M.A., M.Ed., M.Sc.)
• Professional Master’s Degree (EMBA, MBA, MPH, MPA, MEM, and others)
• Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

You can choose to study full-time, part-time, executive, or by open distance learning.

Know when the form opens and closes

Form sales begin on Monday, 3 March 2025.

Form sales end on Friday, 1 August 2025.

Form submission closes on Friday, 8 August 2025.

Follow steps to apply

1. Go to the UNILAG postgraduate portal.
2. Click on the “APPLY” button.
3. Check if you qualify by using the View Programmes’ Entry Requirement section.
4. Click “Start a Fresh Application”.
5. Choose “Postgraduate” as the application type.
6. Fill the pre-application form and print the payment slip.
7. Pay ₦40,000 using one of the two ways:

   • At a bank with the Remita RRR code

   • Online through the PayNow link with your debit card
8. Go back to the portal and click “Continue Application”.
9. Log in with the payment reference number and surname in lowercase as password.
10. Fill the form and upload a passport photo (JPEG, white background, 275×314 pixels, max 15KB).
11. Click “SUBMIT FORM” if all is correct.
12. Do not submit until the form is complete. Changes after submission cost extra.

Follow these extra rules

You must read the rules for the chosen course before you apply.

You cannot apply if:

• You are waiting for first degree results.
• You are already a postgraduate student.
• You have not completed the NYSC.
• You got your degree from an outreach or satellite campus.

You must upload all required documents:

• Degree certificates (not statements)
• NYSC certificate
• Professional certificates (if needed)

M.Phil./Ph.D. applicants must check with the department first for a supervisor or space.
