UNILAG Postgraduate Entrance Exam 2025/2026

The School of Postgraduate Studies, University of Lagos (UNILAG), has announced that the 2025/2026 Postgraduate Candidacy Assessment (PCA) will take place on Thursday, 30 October 2025. All applicants are expected to follow the official assessment guidelines and prepare adequately for this important stage of the admission process.

Candidates are reminded that the UNILAG postgraduate entrance examination is a competitive online test and must be taken under strict supervision. The university has outlined key rules and technical requirements for all participants.

General Guidelines for the UNILAG Postgraduate Assessment

• The assessment is monitored in real time, so candidates must maintain proper conduct.
• A reliable internet connection is required before starting the test.
• Mobile phones are not supported. Only laptops or desktop computers with a webcam and microphone should be used.
• Candidates must remain visible throughout the 20-minute assessment. Covering the webcam or leaving the screen may lead to disqualification.
• The use of external cameras, HDMI displays, or shared devices is strictly prohibited.
• No other person should be present during the examination period.
• Avoid taking the assessment at public centres or cafés.
• The timer begins immediately once the start button is clicked and continues even if the candidate logs out.
• Reading questions aloud, wearing face caps, ear pods, or masks during the assessment is not allowed.
• Candidates can only log in on their scheduled date and time.

How to Access the UNILAG Postgraduate Entrance Examination

Candidates can take the assessment through any of the following methods:

1. Click the “Click Here To Take Exam” link at the bottom of the email sent by UNILAG.
2. Select the WebTest icon on the UNILAG postgraduate portal.
3. Or visit unilagspgs.proctee.webtest.ng directly.

When logging in, use your application number as the username and your surname in lowercase as the password.

Step-by-Step Process

1. After logging in, click “Take Exam” to open the instructions page.
2. Download and install the required examination browser (for Windows 10 or higher, or macOS Ventura).
3. Grant all permissions requested by the Secure Exam Browser (SEB).
4. Return to the exam page and click “Click here to take your exam” to launch the test.

Only the version of the SEB browser specified on the instructions page will work. If the latest version is already installed, there’s no need to reinstall.

UNILAG Mock Assessment

To ensure system compatibility, all candidates must participate in the Mock Assessment using the same device they plan to use for the main exam.

• The mock test will be open from Friday, 24 October 2025, until midnight of Wednesday, 29 October 2025.
• This helps candidates confirm their devices are functioning properly before the actual assessment.
