UNIMAID Diploma Admission Form 2025/2026: Courses, requirements, price, deadline

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), through its Consultancy Services Centre, Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, has opened applications for admission into diploma programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Candidates who meet the stated entry requirements can apply for any of the listed two-year diploma courses; the university also stated where to get the form, the fee, and the closing date.

2. Diploma in Civil Law (DCL)
3. Diploma in Accounting (DAC)
4. Diploma in Social Works (DSW)
5. Diploma in Computer Science (DCS)
6. Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
7. Diploma in Biology Education (DSB)
8. Diploma in Chemistry Education (DSC)
9. Diploma in Physics Education (DSP)

UNIMAID diploma admission requirements (general)

UNIMAID stated the general admission requirements as follows:

Option A: WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE

A candidate needs passes in four (4) academic subjects at credit level in WASC, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or General Certificate of Education (GCE), at not more than two sittings; two or more of the subjects must be relevant to the intended field of study.

Option B: Teachers Grade II

A candidate needs passes in four (4) academic subjects at credit or merit level in Teachers Grade II Certificate, at not more than two sittings; two or more of the subjects must be relevant to the intended field of study.

How to apply (method and cost)

UNIMAID stated that application forms are obtainable from the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit (Science Complex), University of Maiduguri, P.M.B 1069, Maiduguri.

To obtain the form, candidates are to pay Four Thousand Naira (N4,000.00) into the UNIMAID consult account on the UNIMAID payment portal. Keep payment evidence; a candidate may need it during form collection.

Where to submit the completed form

Completed application forms must be returned to the Diploma and Certificate Programmes Unit, University of Maiduguri.

Deadline for submission

UNIMAID stated that completed forms must be returned on or before 27th February 2026 (some people wait till the final week; then the queue grows).
