UNIUYO Certificate & Diploma Admission Form 2025/2026
UNIUYO has opened admissions for its 2025/2026 certificate and diploma programmes. This post breaks down what courses are available, the entry requirements, and how to apply. If you’ve been eyeing a short-term programme to boost your skills or get a foot in the university door, here’s your chance.
The University of Uyo has quietly dropped something again — this time, it’s not a full degree, but it might just be what you need to start or restart. Their Certificate and Diploma Programmes for the 2025/2026 session are now open, and the form is up for grabs.
Now, if you’ve ever thought, “Four years is too long,” or “Let me just start small,” these one- and two-year options might be calling your name.
So, what’s the difference between certificate and diploma?
Quick version:
- Certificate: 1-year course, entry-level, teaches you practical stuff.
- Diploma: 2 years, deeper content, can sometimes land you direct entry into a degree course later.
Both can help you build something solid — a career step, a fresh skill, or even just confidence that you can do this school thing.
What can you study?
UNIUYO didn’t hold back. The list’s long, and honestly, kind of refreshing.

What are the entry requirements?
You don’t need a miracle. Just the basics.
- For Certificate: At least 3 credits (English must be one) in WAEC, NECO, GCE or anything equivalent.
- For Diploma: You’ll need 4 credits and above, again including English and Maths. Some courses have extra subject needs. Religious Studies has its own checklist, for example.
If you’re aiming to eventually slide into a degree course, doing well here can open that door. Direct Entry after diploma? Yes, it’s possible.
How much is the form?

Both are non-refundable. So make sure you’ve got your documents sorted before jumping in.

Whether you’re aiming to switch paths, learn something new, or just finally put “UNIUYO student” on your WhatsApp bio — this is your window.
Not everyone needs to start with a B.Sc. Sometimes, a one-year certificate could be the beginning of something bigger. Or it could just teach you French. Which isn’t bad either.
