Admission Requirements: Admission into the One-year Certificate programme requires a minimum of three (3) credits, including English Language at the WASC/NECO/GCE or its equivalent.
NOTE: Successful completion of the Certificate Programme could enable students to seek admission through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) into any Nigerian University, including University of Uyo, provided they meet specific University, Faculty, and Departmental admission requirements.

Note: Successful completion of the Diploma programmes enables applicants to seek admission by Direct Entry into the University of Uyo or any other University in Nigeria.
General Admission Requirements
Candidates must possess (WAEC/NECO/GCE) or its equivalent with Credit passes in four (4) subjects and above at not more than two sittings. This includes English Language and Mathematics, in addition to other Departmental requirements. Specific criteria apply to certain courses, such as the Diploma in Religious Studies.
How to Apply for UNIUYO Diploma and Certificate Admission Form
Interested candidates must follow these instructions to apply:
- Payment Details: Pay a non-refundable sum of N7,000.00 (Seven Thousand naira) for the Certificate Programmes or N8,000.00 (Eight Thousand naira) for the Diploma Programmes, via Remita Payment Platform.
- Online Registration: Visit uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals or www.uniuyo.edu.ng (click on e-portals link).
- Select Admission forms link (on the sidebar).
- Choose e-Form(s) option.
- Pick Admission Type (Example; Certificate or Diploma as the Admission Form Type).
- Enter your phone number, Name, and E-mail address.
- Click the MAKE PAYMENT NOW button to make payment.
- Payment options include online (using ATM card/internet banking) or any commercial Bank branch using pre-payment slip via Remita Platform.
- After payment, return to the online portal and click on REGISTER LINK to obtain your login credentials.
- Note your Login credentials generated.
- Login, complete your registration, and print out the 2024/2025 application form.
