University of Nigeria, Nsukka Inter-University Transfer 2024/2025

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) has opened its Inter-University Transfer programme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This programme allows students from other universities to transfer to UNN and continue their studies.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Students must meet UNN and departmental entry requirements before entry into their current university.
  2. A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.95 on a 5.00-point scale is required.
  3. Students must not have spent more than two academic sessions at their current university.
  4. The total number of transfer admissions will not exceed 4% of the departmental quota in a year.
  5. Applications must include a transcript, which will be verified by UNN officials or through online methods.
  6. Any irregularities found in submitted documents will lead to withdrawal from the programme.
  7. A valid JAMB score must meet or exceed the UNN admission cut-off for the intended course in the year of entry.
  8. Transfers are allowed only for the same course as currently studied.
  9. Students must not transfer beyond the second year of their programme.
  10. Applicants must currently be enrolled at the university from which they are seeking transfer.

Application Guidelines

  1. Visit the UNN website or UNN portal.
  2. Log in with your telephone number to generate a payment invoice.
  3. Pay the application fee of ₦300,000 through the Remita platform at any commercial bank, including UNN Microfinance Bank.
  4. Use the Remita invoice number to complete payment.
  5. Return to the portal to complete the Inter-University Transfer form online using the telephone and invoice numbers.
  6. Print the completed form and submit it to the Registry (Admissions) with the following:
    • A copy of your O-Level results.
    • A valid WAEC/NECO result checker (scratch card).
  7. Forward the last page of the transfer form to the Registrar of your current university for completion.
  8. Ensure your current Registrar sends the completed release form and your transcript directly to the Registrar, UNN.
  9. Forms not completed online will not be processed.

Important Dates

All recommendations from faculties must be submitted to the Admissions Office for collation and Senate Entrance Board consideration.
