WAEC Timetable for School Candidates May/June 2025

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has published the official timetable for the 2025 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). These exams are for school candidates in Nigeria, Gambia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Here you will find clear dates, times, important exam details, and useful preparation tips to help you perform your best.

WAEC Exam Date

The WAEC exams start on Thursday, 24 April 2025 and end on Friday, 20 June 2025. This means exams will take place over about two months, so it is best to start revising early.

You will sit for both theory and objective papers.

Some subjects include practical and oral tests.

Timings follow local time in each country.

1. Difference in Time on Question Paper and Timetable
If the duration indicated on the question paper differs from that on the timetable, follow the time on the question paper.

2. Question Papers to Be Given Out in Advance of the Dates They Are to Be Taken

(1) Visual Art 3

• Paper 3A – Instructions will be given to schools two weeks before the paper is due.
• Paper 3B – The question paper will be given to candidates two weeks before it is due.
• Paper 3C – Candidates will be required to complete their projects within six months of the examination year. The period for submitting art pieces will be communicated.

(2) Block Laying, Bricklaying and Concrete Works 3 (Practical)
The question paper will be given to candidates three days before the paper is due.

(3) Project Work Papers
