How can you differentiate between genuine opportunities and fraudulent schemes? Get the facts about the fake job advertisements linked to the 2024 WASSCE and learn how to protect yourself from these misleading offers.
WAEC has confirmed that this advertisement did not originate from the Council and strongly condemns the actions of those behind these deceptive job offers. The statement from WAEC clarifies, “The Council would like to state categorically that the advert did not emanate from us and thereby disassociates itself from the fake job advert being circulated by unscrupulous individuals whose schemes are to defraud unsuspecting job-seekers.“
The selection of supervisors for the WASSCE is managed by various Ministries of Education, while schools themselves appoint the invigilators for these exams. WAEC stressed that it never requests monetary compensation from job applicants in exchange for employment opportunities, emphasizing its commitment to ethical practices.

The Council has issued a strong warning against these deceptive practices and urges those involved in such schemes to cease their activities immediately. WAEC’s commitment to transparency was reiterated in a disclaimer issued by the Public Affairs Department and signed by Moyosola F.
